Introduction.

In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. John 1:4

As we discussed previously, there can be no dispute as to whether or not Jesus publicly claimed to be equal with God. In fact, the Scriptures are clear that He did. And it is for that reason alone, that the religious leaders of Jerusalem wanted to kill Him. To them, He was a blasphemer deserving of execution,
but to those who could truly see Him, He was the light of men. Jesus brings light and life where there was once only darkness and death. This is the reason that He came, to seek and save those who are lost. And everyone who believes in Him is passed from death unto life.
