As we have learned the course of this study, The church at Thessalonica was only a few months old when Paul wrote them his first epistle. He had not been able to stay there with them as long as he would have liked. And that, I believe, is the reason that he so carefully prepared this letter for them. He wanted to make sure that he was perfectly clear about everything so that those who had not been brought up on sound doctrine all their lives would be able to completely understand what he was telling them.
